Joseph Amadeus Fleck (1892 - 1977)

An original oil painting on board entitled verso "Springtime in Taos" by the American artist, Joseph Amadeus Fleck. Fleck was born in Sziklos, Austro-Hungary and received formal art education in Vienna. He emigrated to the U.S. in 1922 and lived in Kansas City, Mo. for 3 years until settling in Taos, New Mexico. He remained there until 1973 when he moved to Pleasanton, CA where he died 4 years later.
