Arthur Merton Hazard studied art with Frank Duveneck in Cincinnati and in Paris with Prinet and Henri Blanc.  Hazard painted several portraits of prominent LA residents and exhibited locally.  Works held - Amon Carter Museum - Fort Worth, California Historical Society, Sierra Nevada Museum, Nevada Museum Reno, Nevada. Mountain River Landscape - Dated 1923.  Retains it's original period American Arts & Crafts hand carved frame.

Canvas measures 44" x 35" and framed 56" x 48".
