Hopi Indian Qoia/Kau-a Old Type Kachina Doll 1940's
A vintage 1940's-1950's Hopi Indian Qoia/Kau-a Old Type Katsina/Kachina Cottonwood Doll. An earlier doll, has the "belly-ache" hands. Appears in a regular Katsina dance and sings in the Navajo language. In excellent condition. Paint is all original with minimal signs of wear. Retains original hanging string. Cotton yarn (similar to those used on Hopi wedding dresses) for ears and feathers on head appear to be original. Measures 8 1/2" tall.
