Stella Lodge La Mond (1893 - 1963)

"Depicting a Pueblo Indian Woman", (untitled) oil on canvas, 18" X 24" by the American artist, Stella Lodge La Mond. La Mond was born in Kentucky and attended the Thomas School, Detroit, Columbia University and George Peabody College. She taught art in schools and colleges in Nebraska, Louisiana and Texas. She was professor of art and head of the art department at Southern Methodist University from 1937 until 1959.
