1930's Thick Transitional Hand Coiled Decorated Northern Pueblo Pottery
We are offering a Northern New Mexican Pueblo transitional pottery bowl with lip circa 1930's. This particular piece is thick, hand coiled and decorated with fish and sun figures over a heavy iron oxide slip, causing the orange/red color. This traditional line work was done using a yucca brush. Fresh from an old Santa Fe family estate. It measures 15 1/8" across in diameter and is 6 1/2" tall. In excellent condition.
